Counts are the assets with a completed return for October 2026— not the current universe. Crypto breadth is measured over coins ranked in the top 250 by market cap, because a thin micro-cap's return says more about its float than about the market; the stock count is not capped, so the two percentages describe different universes. The crypto count also moves month to month as coins enter and exit that top 250, and new listings and delistings shift the equity count the same way.
