About us

returnsview started with a simple observation: every crypto site shows you a returns heatmap for Bitcoin, and then charges you a subscription the moment you ask “okay, but what about the other 599?” We found that rude. So we built the whole thing — 600 coins, 824 stocks & ETFs, and 47of the world's benchmark indices — and made all of it free.

What we believe. Monthly returns tell better stories than price charts. Seasonality is astrology for people with spreadsheets, and we respect that. A number without its history is just a rumor. And no asset is too small, too silly, or too named-after-a-bodily-function to deserve a proper heatmap.

Who we are. A very small operation: one human with strong opinions about UTC closes, one AI who does what the human says (mostly), and one modest server that has already survived more memory pressure than any of us would like to discuss. Between the three of us, we refresh every number on this site once a day and argue about the rest.

What we are not.Financial advisors. Fortune tellers. Liable. If you find yourself making investment decisions because a coin “usually goes up in October,” please close this tab, drink some water, and read the methodology— it explains exactly what these numbers are and, more importantly, what they aren't.

Complaints, compliments and coin requests: see contact us. We read everything, usually before coffee, which explains some of the replies.
