The plain-English version: some outbound links may earn us a commission, it costs you nothing, and it changes none of the numbers on this site.
What this means. returnsview is free to use and supported by advertising and, where relevant, affiliate links. An affiliate link is an outbound link to a third-party product or service where, if you sign up or make a purchase, we may receive a commission from that company — at no additional cost to you. We label affiliate links (they carry a sponsoredtag and, where shown inline, an “affiliate link” note) so you always know when a link is one.
Affiliate relationships never influence our data
Every heatmap, return, ranking and mover on returnsview is computed automatically from market data — see our methodology. Which assets appear, and where they rank, is never affected by whether a company pays us a commission. We don't sell placement in the data, and a commission is never a reason an asset is shown or ranked the way it is.
Not a recommendation
An affiliate link is not financial advice, an endorsement, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or use any product, platform or asset — including any exchange, broker or investment service. It simply means we have a commercial relationship with that company. Investing and trading carry risk, and the value of investments can go down as well as up. Do your own research and, where appropriate, speak to a licensed professional. This mirrors the full disclaimer in our terms.
Your choice, always. You never have to use an affiliate link. Where one exists you can always go to the company directly instead — it makes no difference to you, and the information we show is the same either way.
Privacy.Following an affiliate link takes you to a third-party site with its own privacy policy and cookies, which we don't control. How cookies and tracking work on returnsview itself — including which partners we use — is covered on our privacy page.
